Blair Drummond Safari Park reserves the right to alter the itinerary on any given day due to animal welfare or health issues, but will ensure that if this is the case then the activity will be replaced with another similar task.
Once a date has been booked the experience is non-refundable unless due to exceptional circumstances. This is at Blair Drummond's discretion.
Blair Drummond reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the site should they behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.
Customers will receive their Giraffe Experience gift voucher within 7 days of the order being received. The voucher will be sent to the address specified during the shopping process and will be left blank so that the buyer can add the recipients name. If you would like the voucher to be sent to a different address, please call Margaret on 01786 843101 or email margaret@blairdrummond.com.
When you receive the voucher, you will be asked to contact us to arrange a suitable date for the experience. Once booked, the date cannot be changed unless due to exceptional circumstances.
Participants must be 16 years or over. There is no upper age limit although participants will need a reasonable level of fitness to take part in the activities.
Pregnant women and women who have given birth within the previous six months will not be able to participate in the Giraffe Experience.
Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty please contact Blair Drummond before purchasing. Blair Drummond will endeavour to ensure that all participants have as full an experience as possible.
The weather should not affect the experience, although the itinerary may change if conditions are unsuitable for any aspect of the day. Overalls will be provided, but we advise you to wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear as there may be muddy conditions. (Bring your wellies!)
Giraffe Experience is available all year round.
OPEN SEASON – 21ST March 09 – 2nd November 09
If you plan to do the Giraffe Experience during our Open season and you wish someone to accompany you, tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate of £8.50 per person, but must be purchased at the same time as the Giraffe Experience Voucher. However they will NOT be able to accompany you “behind the scenes”. There will be opportunities for them to see you at work in certain areas from the public area and you can meet up with them at the end of the session to enjoy time together in the Park. Anyone wishing to accompany you at a later date will have to pay the full adult price of £11 on arrival at the Park.
CLOSED SEASON – November to March
If you plan to do the Giraffe Experience during our closed season, please note that anyone wishing to accompany you will NOT be permitted to enter the Park.
The Giraffe Experience begins at 9am until 11am and will include refreshments. As part of a group of up to 2 people, you will be assigned to one of our experienced keepers.
You will not be able to book the Giraffe Experience for Easter or May Bank Holiday weekends, or Christmas and New Year Holidays.

£100 per person (Monday - Friday)
£130 per person (Saturday - Sunday)
Please note: when you receive your experience pack prompt booking of your visit is recommended to avoid disappointment. If you pay for a weekend experience and we are unable to accommodate your request, we will arrange a suitable weekday experience, and refund the difference to the buyer.
