Blair Drummond Safari Park receives many requests for work experience. We consider work experience extremely important, all our staff are more than happy to pass on their skills and knowledge to anyone wishing to pursue a career in this field.
Due to high demand we can only offer these work experience positions to students connected with academia who are studying animal related courses, and that it is a course requirement to fullfil a period of industrial work placement. We are looking for friendly, hard working individuals who work well in a team.
Successful applicants will be expected to assist our animal keeping staff with their daily duties.
Daily tasks involve
• Mucking out and cleaning of animal enclosures
• Feed preparation for a variety of animals
• Implementing enrichment for animals
• In some cases public interactions
