Guess what? The merriest season of all is nearly here! Christmas is coming and we couldn’t be more excited. There’s going to be lots going on at the Safari Park both before and after dark! Most of the festivities will go on all day, but if you want to see our animals (including all our 2023 babies!) be sure to get a daytime ticket.
On Mondays, Thursday and Fridays, the park is all yours from 11 am to 5:30 pm. At weekends (and the 22nd of December), we are going to give you even more extra hours of merriment and stay open until 7pm! We’ve even got some special evening-only tickets that won’t break the piggy bank. Check out the nitty-gritty on ticket prices and timing below. Daytime ticket holders are of course welcome to stay till we close up at 7 pm too.
Hold onto your Santa hats, because our Christmas Spectacular is set to be bigger and better than ever. So let’s dig out those festive jumpers, don our reindeer ears, and spread some serious Christmas cheer!
Santa Claus and the dragon who didn't like Christmas
Get into the festive spirit with a magical Christmas tale. Join us for a short, interactive, relaxed performance with storytelling, puppets, music and more. An ideal introduction to theatre with lots of Christmas magic and involvement for our younger audiences.
Santa Claus is coming to town. Catch a glimpse of the main man himself as he travels through the Safari Park in his sleigh several times a day. He’ll have his naughty list with him so make sure you’re on your best behaviour!
Our festive fairground attractions will bring a rosy glow to everyone’s cheeks. Ride tokens are for sale in the Park. Have a go on our dragon coaster, teacups and dodgems, then have a run around in our Bavarian fun house. Christmas magic.
Scotland’s biggest Christmas tree (probably)
We love a fairy light here at the Park and this year we’re more twinkle-tastic than ever. We’ll also be back with our show-stopping Christmas tree that (we think) is the largest in Scotland.
All our animals will be there to share the magic with you throughout the day. However, they’ll be safely tucked up for the night well before it gets dark. Last entry to the drive-thru is 2:45pm and you won’t be able to visit many of our other animal habitats once the sun goes down.
Back by popular demand, our spectacular dinosaur illuminations! Wander through our prehistoric forest and enjoy our spectacular floodlit dinosaur display. The illuminations will begin at 2:30pm everyday.
If you’re looking to do a little Christmas shopping, then our traditional Christmas stalls are the place for you! Our adorable log huts are stuffed to the rafters with all sorts of festive treats and gorgeous gifts.
Festive food and drinks
We’ve got all sorts of winter-warmers and festive favourites. Try the amazing hot chocolate from our hot chocolate bar, treat yourself to piping hot fish and chips, or dig in to a delicious hot roast roll. And don’t worry, for the grown-ups, there’s gin cocktails from local Stirling Gin. Yum.
Marshmallow fire pits
Get cosy around our fire-pits and toast some giant marshmallows. How do you like yours, lightly toasted or full-on burnt? Let the great marshmallow debate commence!
Please choose a date and time that suits you as we’re unable to make changes or refunds once a ticket has been purchased. Our Christmas Spectacular event runs from 25th November to 23rd December.
Make sure to book your tickets in advance as we are now online ticket sales only. This includes our members, and anyone with a pre-purchased ticket or gift card.
