Blair Drummond welcomes students of all ages, from all walks of life. Get in touch if you would like to learn more.
Are you trying to gain further qualifications? Looking for a new direction in life? Or simply reading one of our "child-orientated" sessions and saying, "I wish I could do that"? Look no further!
We are happy to educate anyone of any age.
Perhaps you'd like to attend our Adult Safari School this year?
The education department welcomes applications to help you achieve higher level qualifications, awards, certificates, diplomas and other vocational, competency-based qualifications.
We also welcome groups such as the WI, wildlife groups, the University of the Third Age, clubs, anyone interested in learning and furthering their personal development.
In the past, we've had engineering students building puzzle feeders for our monkeys, robotics students building remote controlled fish for our sea eagle and animal behaviour students building audio enrichment devised for our chimpanzees. Applications are subject to an ethics based assessment and require full approval from our animal keepers - let us know what you're thinking.
We may be able to help with film and media projects; we've opened our doors to documentaries, T.V shows and major productions such as Neds, What we did on our holiday and Car Share.
Conservation projects are most welcome; we've had university students study raptors on our estate and build kestrel nesting boxes.
We regularly monitor native species on the estate such as Red squirrels and passerines with Dr. Stewart White. Let us help collect data for your research projects, please visit our research page for more details.
