Exploring Senses

Sight, sound, touch and smell

How does your sight, smell and hearing compare to a tiger, an eagle, or an elephant? Investigate the world of “senses” in this interactive, fun-filled class.

Find your wolf pack via scent alone and discuss how animal senses aid their survival. Adaptation, animal groups and animal physiology can all be discussed. Get hands on with our collection of animal biofacts such as skulls, skins, teeth and feathers, and enjoy exploring the natural world.

Learning Outcomes

  •  To be able to identify the main senses and which body parts are associated with them
  •  To be able to compare your own senses to other animals
  •  To understand adaptation and why life on earth varies

*Please note - sessions involve no direct contact with animals
