The keeping of wild animals in captivity is always an emotive and fearlessly contested topic of conversation. Standards of animal welfare, contribution towards conservation and commercial gain are factors that should be measured against the ethical and moral considerations. 

Join us for this session where we will look at the history of zoo's, mans connection with animals and the contributions zoological collections make to society and the environment.
