Celebrate World Rhino Day with some heavyweight fun at Blair Drummond Safari Park
We're celebrating 'World Rhino Day' on September 22nd with a weekend of activities, fun and rhino-sized competitions.
There has been an endangered species breeding programme at Blair Drummond for over fifteen years. Along with fundraising and awareness, this has played a crucial role in the conservation of the southern white rhinoceros, a species which was close to extinction just twenty years ago and now has an estimated global population of about 20,000.
Thanks to visitors support, we also raise vital funds to help protect wild rhinos. Learn more here.
Two-year-old Bonnie is the youngest rhino at Blair Drummond and the fifth to be born at the Safari Park. Come and meet her and the rest of the crash on the 22 - 23 September.
- Find out more about the rhino and how they're cared for at Blair Drummond Safari Park at the Meet the Keeper talk, every day at 2:30pm
- Learn about the conservation of the southern white rhino and what you can do to help
- Enter the rhino-raffle for your chance to come behind-the-scenes experience and meet our rhinos
- Take part in rhino-themed educational activities
All funds raised during rhino weekend will go directly towards conservation projects.
Normal admission charges apply, entry is free for members.
