Safari Park 'Superhero Takeover' hailed as top bank holiday family event
Blair Drummond Safari Park is set to host one of Scotland’s most unique superhero-themed events this weekend – the Superhero Takeover, which runs from Saturday 26th until Monday 28th May.
Visitors to Blair Drummond Safari Park will have the opportunity to watch gravity-defying Superhero Parkour performances, they’ll be able to take part in a ‘Superhero Training Academy’ and they’ll have the opportunity to meet some real-life superheroes and learn more about the super-powers of the animals who live at the Safari Park.
Safari Park Marketing Manager Liz Gunn comments:
The Safari Park is going to be bursting with superheroes this weekend and we can’t wait to share the experience with our visitors.
We’ve planned some really unique super-hero themed events suitable for the whole family and these are included in the price of standard online admission or free to Blair Drummond Safari Park members.
We’ll also have all the usual Safari Park activities – the boat ride to Chimp Island, animal presentations, Adventure Play and Safari Drive -thru, and visitors will be able to learn more about some of the special animals who live at the Park.
We’re all very excited about the event. It’ll be a super-charged day at the Safari Park with a difference!
Organisers at the Safari Park have been working with Falkirk company Wee Heroes, who run the UK’s first Superhero Laser Tag Arena. Wee Heroes will be staging a Superhero Training Academy at the event.
Craig MacDonald, Wee Heroes Managing Director explains:
The Superhero Training Academy is an interactive experience that’s been designed for children aged 2-12 years but is suitable for big and little kids of all ages.
We’ll be set-up at the Safari Park every day between 10:00am and 5:30pm. Visitors will learn how to think, move and behave like a superhero, and they’ll have the opportunity to test their new-found skills with our laser-tag target practice.
This is an opportunity for Safari Park guests to unleash their inner superhero.
Visitors to the Safari Park will also be treated to a special superhero display from Access Parkour, an Edinburgh-based parkour performance and coaching organisation, who will be leaping, vaulting and jumping around the Safari Park.
Superhero Takeover at Blair Drummond Safari Park is being billed as one of Scotland’s top Bank Holiday destinations and Families are being encouraged to buy their tickets now.
Advance tickets can be purchased online at the special low price of just £15.50 per adult and £12.50 per child. Tickets are also available on the day at the standard admission rate.
