Falkirk bride saw a dream come true with a special wedding gift at Blair Drummond Safari Park
An animal-loving bride enjoyed a photo shoot with a difference, posing with some giraffes as she celebrated her big day.
Newlywed Alexandra McDaid from Larbert, Falkirk, had dreamt of including her favourite safari park in her wedding plans since she was a child.
Her mother Margaret Canville got in touch with Blair Drummond Safari Park to arrange a special visit after the 27-year-old teacher exchanged vows with Chris McDaid.
The pair were invited to feed the giraffes and pose for photographs the following day wearing full wedding dress.
Safari Park Marketing Manager Liz Gunn explains:
“Margaret got in touch to tell us that her daughter Alexandra was getting married in Callander on the 21st July, and that ever since she was a child Alex had wanted to have the Safari Park as part of her celebrations.
“The wedding party had planned to visit the Safari Park the day after the wedding, and the mother-of-the pride asked if there was anything we could do to make the visit a little special. We were delighted to help.”
The bride and groom arrived at the Safari Park in full wedding dress and fed the giraffes. The special moment was captured on camera by Safari Park Operations Supervisor Dave Warren.
“It’s not every day that we have a visitor at the park in her wedding dress! Everybody was very pleased to help put together this special experience for the happy couple.”
