Blair Drummond Safari Park takes delivery of two baby barn owls
The 4 week old owlets, which have been named ‘Peek’ and ‘Boo’ by staff at the Park, will be on show in the Safari Park Bird of Prey Centre from mid-September.
The baby birds have been staying overnight on the homes of Safari Park Keepers as part of the imprinting process, which helps form close bonds between the Keeper and chick.
Keeper Dominic King said:
“Peek and Boo have been perfectly named.
They’re full of character and love hiding from each other and chasing spiders. Quite bizarrely they also enjoy watching the Great British Bake off!”
These little balls of white fluff will grow into beautiful barn owls.
