Get ready to be excited because this weekend, we’re going all out for World Rhino Day! We believe one day simply isn’t enough, so we’ll be celebrating on both Saturday the 23rd of September, and Sunday the 24th of September.
Our mission? To shine a spotlight on these fantastic, gentle giants. And guess what? We’ve got the dream team for you: our passionate Education crew and our awesome Large Mammal keepers. They’re here to satisfy your rhino curiosity with fascinating facts and hilarious rhino stories. Come along and find out more about our resident rhinos: Tswane, Dot, Graham, and the adorable little Morag.
We also have a host of exciting activities to keep you engaged. Don’t forget to grab some crayons and let your creativity flow with our rhino-themed colouring sheets! You’ll also have the opportunity to get hands-on with animal artefacts and rhino enrichment. And if you’re in the market for some new works of art, look no further. Our resident artist Lorna will creating bespoke spray paint art on the day.
But here’s the real exciting bit – you might even have the chance to meet our rhinos in person! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you definitely won’t want to miss.
